john Jarosz

John Jarosz is a self taught artist from Michigan. Inspired by graffiti, color theory, spirituality, and meditation, John has worked in various mediums including spray paint, airbrush, acrylic, water colors, graphic design, tattoos, and more.

From a long line of creatives, John has been making art for as long as he can remember and has honed his craft through individual and communal explorations all over the United States, from Traverse City to Atlanta to New Orleans. Currently residing in South Philadelphia, John likes to create in accordance with the seasons, living expansively in the world during the summer and isolating to create in the winter. This rhythm gives him the sense of releasing his warm weather experiences onto the canvas, so he can watch the emotions resurface.

John strives to create work that speaks to people through color, shape, and movement. He prefers to paint freely without sketching so he can act as a channel through which the source can flow. He hopes the results will generate a consciousness-expanding experience for the viewer, mimicking psychedelics or meditation.

John believes in creating for the sake of creating and making timeless, playful pieces that generate a state of self exploration for both the artist and the viewer.
